Nature is the source of inspiration for most of my paintings. People, particularly women and children, often capture my imagination. I find painting to be a meditative activity that transports me from the rigors of everyday life. I didn�t begin painting until I was in my late 60�s and find it has opened my awareness of the world in a way nothing else has been able to do. I continue to take photographs which I have always done, but painting is sere joy - and a delight when someone else likes my work.
